Very Berry Protein Smoothie

Smoothies are my go-to when I’m feeling blah and unhealthy. I love making a healthy smoothie as a meal replacement and since I’ve been so busy with work and school lately, I haven’t had time to go to the gym as often as I would like. This recipe is great because it is refreshing and the small amount of protein will help curb your appetite so you are not mindlessly munching later.

Protein powder can be expensive but it is so worth it if you want that extra boost in your smoothie. In this case, I used Skinny Gut protein powder but you can use whatever you like best! This is the best smoothie to have for breakfast or an afternoon snack. The goji berries in this recipe are super healthy and known for their super food powers like promoting healthy skin and boosting the immune system. The almond butter gives the smoothie a nice creaminess and the medjool dates pack extra sweetness. I hope you love this recipe as much as I do!

For this recipe you will need:

1 cup plain almond milk

1 Tbsp goji berries

2 Tbsp almond butter

1 Tbsp protein powder

4 medjool dates, pitted

1 cup strawberries, halved

1 cup water


Combine all ingredients except ice in a blender. Blend until smooth, about 2 minutes. Then, add ice and blend once more. Enjoy!
