The Powerful Benefits of Lemon



Lemon is one of the most healthiest fruits in the world.  No, it doesn’t taste too swell on it’s own because of it’s high acidic levels, but lemon provides our bodies with so many essential nutrients and benefits. There are a number of ways to sneak this powerful fruit into your diet every day.

Nothing looks prettier than a big bowl of fresh, organic lemons on the center of my kitchen breakfast table.  Not only is lemon good for you, but it sure does make a great display! Anyways, let’s chat about the benefits our bodies can reap from consuming lemons.

Lemons can do so many wonderful things ranging from beauty to health and wellness benefits.  One of the lemon’s capabilities is to aid in digestion health.  It is extremely important for our bodies to get rid of the harmful toxins in our system each and every day; however, some of us have more difficulties than others when it comes to using the restroom.  Whether you have troubles or not,  I strongly advise you to start drinking hot lemon water every morning to wake up your digestive track and get the toxins out.

Not only is hot lemon water amazing, but I like to make a detox lemon water on a weekly basis.  My detox lemon water consists of a large pitcher of water, lemon slices, cucumber slices, and mint leaves.  This drink is so refreshing and delicious, and it hydrates you like no other.  Your skin will also reap the benefits from drinking detox lemon water daily.  Moreover, lemons are also well-known for treating dental problems, throat infections, indigestion, and so much more!  Not to mention, they also play a big role in weight loss, which is a huge plus.

You can easily sneak more lemon into your diet by using it as a vegetable or fish marinade, adding lemon juice to your salad dressings, and by drinking lemon water or adding lemon juice to your tea.  I enjoy drinking green tea with lemon juice and honey to wake me up in the afternoons.  Get your lemon on, people!!
