I’ve always heard it can be beneficial to post motivating sticky notes on your mirrors or create an inspirational board to help you reach your goals. I didn’t take part in this experiment until last night, and I am already finding it quite effective.
I had planned on creating an inspirational board and most likely still will, but it does require me having to go to the store to buy a poster board, magazines, markers, etc. Last night’s chalk board fun was spur of the moment and inexpensive. Normally I use my little chalk board to write down ingredients I need for a specific recipe, but last night I had a better idea. When I woke up this morning to make my morning cup of hot lemon water and cup of coffee, I immediately took notice of my inspirational chalk board.
I can honestly say I have felt more at ease today just by remembering what I had written last night. I believe we all are working towards something each and every day. Nothing ever gets 100 percent better over night because everything is a working progress, but if we take the time to remember what we need to do each day, we will be closer at reaching our goals. We are human and we all make mistakes, but the beautiful thing about it is that we have so many opportunities to make things right and to change for the better.
Whether your goal is to practice patience like me, work out more, eat right, call your mom more often, or take up a new hobby, writing it down and seeing it every day will definitely help you reach that goal. Even if you don’t want to write out your goals, experiment with meditation. My advice is to allow yourself 10 minutes every morning to sit in complete silence and focus on what it is you want to achieve for that day. Honor your pride and take notice of how you feel in that exact moment.
These small steps can really help you become more successful in whatever it is you are trying to achieve. 🙂
