My 5 Daily Mantras for Feeling Empowered & Inspired

My favorite time of the day is the early morning. I like to get up when the house is completely quiet and have a moment to myself to reflect and mentally prepare myself for whatever the day is going to bring. In order to feel empowered and inspired, I have 5 daily mantras that really help me feel centered.

I typically try to wake up 3 hours before I have to be at work. I know, you may be thinking that’s crazy. Why get up when I could spend the precious morning hours sleeping? There’s just something about the mornings that are so productive for me. It’s amazing how much I can accomplish in the mornings in comparison to the evenings after work.

The mornings are when I can catch up on reading, blogging, get a good workout in, finish folding some laundry and even prepare breakfast for Mitch and I. After work, I’m lucky if I find time to get to the grocery store to cook dinner. Usually all I want to do after work is pour myself a big glass of wine and relax. Who is with me?!

So, in an effort to feel more grounded and centered- starting at the very beginning of the day- I do my best to repeat these 5 daily affirmations to get me ready to take on whatever the day is going to bring!

My 5 daily affirmations are:

  1. I awake in the morning feeling happy and enthusiastic about life.
  2. I try hard not to offend and harder not to be offended.
  3. Every day in every way, I am becoming more and more successful.
  4. I feel powerful, capable, confident, energetic and on top of the world.
  5. I live in the present and am confident of the future.

It doesn’t matter what you have to say to make yourself feel better. Even if you need to tell yourself: “I’m the s***” to feel on top of the world, just do it! We need to be ok with giving ourselves an extra boost. I think my biggest struggle is giving myself the extra credit I know I deserve. I never want to come off as arrogant or cocky but it’s all about being confident and secure. Those two things are very different from the latter.

If you’re like me, you have good days and bad days. On my good days, I do feel confident and capable and successful, but every once in a while, I do have days where I feel less than and constantly compare myself to others which is ridiculous. I know that I am happy with my life and I know that I am very blessed and fortunate. I think feeling confident 99% of the time takes practice and a “mental training” of sorts. It doesn’t happen naturally.
