Today, March 8th, is International Women’s Day. Here’s to women, everywhere!
March 8th is THE annual day to celebrate women all over the globe. This day is meant to highlight and commemorate the achievements of women all across the world. Social, economic, cultural and political contributions made by women should be recognized and cheered for.
I hate when I see women tear other women down… and I know that I’ve been guilty of it in the past, as well. I feel as though it’s been (unfortunately) normalized to belittle or not support other women whom aren’t like us or who we might not agree with. We should celebrate our differences and learn from one another as there is always something to learn from. It is 2021 and women have come a very long way with paving a path of finally being noticed for their successes and contributions. I look forward to seeing what women continue to do! If I have any daughters of my own, I will raise them to be strong, independent thinkers who believe that the sky is the limit.
I am proud to be a woman and I celebrate all women, everywhere.
