Celebrating LOVE

This past weekend I went home to be a part of and celebrate one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever been to. I had such an amazing time with my family and friends and the entire weekend could not have gone more perfectly. Seeing two people who are absolutely prefect for each other and two lovely families unite, reminded me that love is the best thing anyone can ever feel or witness.

Coming from a small town, it seems everyone is getting married all around the same time. There have been weddings after weddings after weddings lately and I simply can’t keep up with all of these nuptials. I feel like I’m constantly having to take off work for engagement parties, bachelorette parties, bridal showers, and weddings. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining because I love a good party, but it can be a little overwhelming for me personally. Coming out of an 8 year relationship and learning how to be single and independent again while everyone else is tying the knot does feel a bit lonely at times. However, I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and I am solely focused on my career path at this point in my life. For me, it is good that I am alone and focused on myself right now. Some people know exactly what they want in their mid twenties but I know in my heart that I still have some exploring to do. I can feel big things ahead of me and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

This past weekend proved that true love may take some time, but it is totally worth waiting for. I couldn’t be happier for the newly-married couple, Katie and Justin. They both compliment each other so well and you can tell how much love they share when they look at each other. On my drive back to Austin today I had to think about how blessed I am to have such amazing people in my life. My family and friends are everything but boring and there is never a dull amount when I’m with them. I can’t wait to keep the celebrations and parties going because there is nothing better to celebrate than love!
