Banana, Date and Goji Berry Protein Shake


This protein shake might be the best I’ve ever had! I’m not even kidding. It is so sweet, delicious, and filling. If you ever need a healthy meal replacement or just something to please a sweet tooth, make this!

Protein shakes have been my go-to these days because I find myself mindlessly nibbling on everything at work. It’s so hard for someone like me who loves to eat and has little self-control when it comes to good food to be working in a kitchen. I love it but I hate it at the same time! I can already tell my shorts are feeling more snug these days so I really need to get control over my eating habits again. Luckily, delicious and filling protein shakes like my banana, date and goji berry shake can help me get back on track to reach my goals.

For this recipe you will need:

1 banana

4 medjool dates, pitted

1 Tbsp goji berries

1 cup plain almond milk

1 cup coconut water

1 Tbsp almond butter

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1 Tbsp protein powder

Handful ice

My favorite protein powder is Body Lab by Jennifer Lopez. Most protein powders always have the same chalky taste but this one is so different. Of course, I ordered the chocolate flavored protein powder but there is also a vanilla-flavored powder. I have found that Body Lab is just a great company and you can also download the app to keep track of your progress. I mean, who doesn’t envy J-Lo’s body?

Simply combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth, about 1-2 minutes. Add a handful or so of ice and blend again. I just love how the dates give it a natural sweetness while the almond butter gives it the perfect amount of creaminess. I hope you love this protein shake recipe as much as me.
