I’ve just recently started making my own compound butter recipes and it is so much fun! You can literally make any flavor of butter you want with a limited amount of ingredients. Β I was in the mood for a sweeter butter so I made a vanilla raisin butter. Give it a try and smear it on an English muffin or piece of toast for breakfast!

For this recipe you will need:

2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature
1/3 cup raisins
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Pinch salt

I find that my hands are the best tools for mixing – just make sure to thoroughly wash your hands before mixing! Combine and mix all ingredients in a medium bowl. Β Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. I will definitely be enjoying this butter tomorrow morning for breakfast.

Bon Appetit!
